In the world of daily newspapers, it's easy enough to fill your days with the routine and necessary. Carving out time to sink your teeth into an in-depth project or series is difficult when the daily deadline beckons and news seems to break every time you have a moment to spare. When you have honed your juggling skills well enough to manage it, though, nothing is more satisfying than seeing a massive project make its way into print.
